. this happened near the intersection of station road and brandy wine road. police tell us the officer was en route to a call and went into the intersection and that's where he was hit. it appears that their injuries are nonlife threatening. now to a developing story. on line for you, wjla.com. police in the district arrest two teenagers after a taxi cab is found in a burning car. what are we hearing? >> this evening detectives confirmed a 17-year-old and a female from maryland were arrested and charged with felony murder. the taxi driver was shot and killed friday night. police later determined the man was shot in the head. seconds later he drove his vehicle into a fence. the car later caught fire. detectives spoke about the case a short time ago. >> we initially received some tips, and that led us to them through witness information. at this time we do believe the motive was an attempted robbery. >> police have charged 17 -year-old and the unidentified female with felony murder. the victim has not been released pending notification. >> also new tonight

investigation into this biographer paula broadwell. what can you tell us about this at this point? >> the fbi has opened up an investigation to determine whether paula broadwell had access to general petraeus' e-mail. general petraeus is not under investigation and they don't expect their inquiry will result in criminal charges. now, we have reached out to paula broadwell. we haven't heard back from her yet. she is, of course, at the center of this scandal. so who is she? she is a harvard graduate, also went to west point and she wrote this biography that i have here in my hands. it's called "all in," the education of general petraeus. it's a thick book but i want to read a lig sellment. she says, his critics fault him for ambition. i will note that he is driven and goal-orient d. so just one sentence in a very thick book that is now of course coming under a lot of scrutiny. to give you a sense of how this all came to light, we're told that the white house learned about this situation with general petraeus on wednesday, which was, of course, the day after the election. general petraeus had a

? >> they had multiple paths to get to 270. they used almost all of them. they were able to through very focused data-driven ground operation identify their voters and successfully reassemble the coalition that they had in 2008. african americans, latino, -- latinos, young voters, women. would young voters turn out in the numbers they did before? in fact, they were by one point a higher percentage than they were in 2008. would african americans vote with the same enthusiasm compared to 2008? they did. it was 15%. this was a campaign that set its sights early and improving on what everybody thought was a very good ground operation and they exceeded it. gwen: in a very specific way, not in a broad base at all and not in a way that was out to persuade anyone who had not voted for them before. >> it was not much of a persuasion. they started with the baseline of the 2008 results. and then they had the census from 2010. they saw what had changed and who had moved around. and then it's the sole reason that jim mussina moved to chicago and started building this thing. it became obama for america. they
